I started back keeping a journal after I left home, but a year ago, my hubby found it and there the violation was again. I have not written in journal since then. A good friend, has told me repeatedly that I have a lot to say and blogging is a great way to do so. I rejected that idea as well and stayed in my cocoon. It is said that nothing happens before time, so I am going to take this leap(well partly because I have no choice) and also ,sometime you just need a swift kick in the butt, to get to where you need to be.
Well this came with a great deal of anxiety. why? well I grew up in Trinidad and Tobago and in a nutshell you do as you are told ,speak when your spoken to and answer when called. Also little girls must be seen and not heard. I remember having a diary that a friend bought for me on my 14th birthday. The lock on it presented as privacy which, as a kid was not some thing you had the luxury having. I wrote about a crush I had in school amongst other things. My younger sister decided she was going to tear off the lock read it and show it to my mom, who went to town on my ass that evening. Even though I was always good with words, that experience made me hesitant to write.
