I take my hat off to you because it must have been tough to make that decision with out thinking of the consequences that cold have befallen you in such a segregated time. The fact that you choose to separate Mrs. Cuillnan from her valuable old money china, could have resulted in severe punishment. You did it anyways and then had the nerve to walk out of this lily white house through the front door shows a great deal of courage.
This act of valor reminds me of the many times I have had to stand up to figures of authority in my life. The choice to go through with this process, left me ostracized from family members for years. I believe that because I stood my ground, I was eventually able to help others in my family to do the same which resulted in the respect they have for me now.
